Friday, February 18, 2022 Puzzling Question

Here’s a little survey for you jigsaw puzzlers. Others of you can weigh in on this important topic as well. The question before us is this: How long after completing a puzzle do you dismantle it?

A. Immediately. As soon as the last piece is in, the puzzle goes back into the box.
B. Never. Get some of that puzzle glue and make it into a permanent “poster” for display.
C. Leave it on the table until you start the next one, no matter how long or short a time period that is.
D. Leave it out until you have guests coming over with young children.
E. Leave it assembled for just as long a time as it took you to put it together.
F. Other (specify, please)

Of course, most of you are probably as sick as surveys as I am. Every time you do anything, you get a survey by mail, email or text afterward with people wanting you to tell them how they did. Ugh. I always ignore those. How about you?

I’ll probably delete this in the morning and then send you a survey asking you a lot of questions about it.

  1. Ha! I recognize this puzzle (I thought it was a fun one). I leave my completed puzzles out a couple days to just admire my accomplishment and for my husband to view. Then it’s on to a new puzzle. Have only glued one to frame, and framed four small ones. Enjoy your next puzzle!

    1. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. It’s been out on the table finished for a couple weeks now. I generally either put them away when I need the table space or when I’m ready to start another one. I like leaving them out to admire for awhile! Thanks for responding. I was hoping you would. ❤️

  2. What a timely and important question of the day- or for us, question of the week! We have a puzzle that I put together, leaving the last few for Dave to complete. I’ll admit, I was selfish with my time. It’s been up for perhaps a month! We thought we would dismantle it (now acknowledging an option on the survey) just before Dave would sit down and complete it himself. Today before he left to return to work, I asked Dave if I could dismantle the puzzle as we get ready for family members to visit this weekend. His response was to consider leaving it up for the family to see it. I wasn’t so sure, but we left it up in the air until at least tonight. To further complete your survey, we don’t ever take it apart immediately afterwards- we want to enjoy it; and we are not interested in gluing it together to make a permanent display. What is the puzzle of note? The colorful design of the dining room at Naniboujou Lodge!

    1. What a fun puzzle to have! I don’t ever dismantle puzzles right away either. I find puzzles to be oddly addicting. Once I sit down to work on one, I have a hard time quitting. Send me a photo of your puzzle by text- I’d love to see it!
