Hydrangea, I saw you in the spring –
Just lush green leaves and hints of buds.
Hydrangea, I saw you in the summer –
Fresh and dewy flowers all full of glory.
Hydrangea, I saw you in the fall –
Oh my, how gracefully you’ve aged!
Hydrangea, I saw you in the winter –
Proudly showing your dried beauty in the snow.
O, Hydrangea…
I hate to let you go.

I kept this dried hydrangea in my craft room for a couple years, but at last felt it was time to let it go. Farewell, thou good and faithful flower…
I’ll probably let this dried-up post go in the morning.
I’m hoping my hydrangea plant does better this year. It wasn’t much this past year….one bloom and that didn’t look great. I’m wondering if I don’t have it planted in a good spot.

We don’t even have hydrangeas – I got these from our neighbors. I love hydrangeas, but can’t seem to keep them going on our property. It’s my black thumb, I’m afraid.
