God made the spider
To be a first-class hider.
He slips through a tiny crack
And never breaks his back.

His legs, like furry sticks,
Can do amazing tricks.
His weaving is fantastic,
His web is firm, but elastic.

He catches the pesky fly
And sucks its juices dry.
When you see one, don’t get nervous –
Just thank him for his service.

I might get nervous if that spider came crawling by…

The juices will get sucked dry out of this post in the morning.
