For the beauty of the earth
For the glory of the skies
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies
Lord of all, to thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise.
Folliott S. Pierpoint, 1864
These photos are my “hymn” of grateful praise for all the beauty and glory the Lord has put before us. May you hear the music of praise as you look at them.

A visitor to our fountain. I was gone, so hubby grabbed my camera and got a few photos through the screen. Isn’t he (or she) a regal creature?

For the beauty of each hour
Of the day and of the night,
Hill and dale and tree and flow’r
Sun and moon and stars of light,
Lord of all to thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise.
I’ll probably delete with grateful praise in the morning.
The pictures of the beautiful flowers in your perennial garden are wonderful, and the perfect hymn verses to go with it, set the perfect background. So glad Kris captured the visitor in your fountain. We’ve had Cooper Hawks visit our yard, but never stopped for a bath!! Haha! Just looking to snack on our little song birds!! 😬

Thanks – many of those photos were taken the day you were here! Was that a Cooper hawk in the photo? I couldn’t tell what it was.

Yes, I believe that’s what it was.

Oh, don’t delete! Keep it as a memorial to our good God and His majestic cathedral He has created! While our stained-glass windows give a glimpse of the colors of creation,
the original Cathedral where we can worship Him, surrounds us. Here, we can worship The Creator in all His splendor! ❤
