I started getting threatening messages from Apple about my iCloud storage getting so full that it wouldn’t be able to do back-ups anymore. Sheesh. It’s hard enough keeping a house clean without having to spend time cleaning out my photos as well. Nevertheless, I’ve been taking an hour or two a day this week to turn my Live Photos into still photos and download photos from my device to our computer. You really can’t expect me to do all that AND write a blog.
I’ve also made progress on Clive the Snail.
Making and sewing on the glasses and antennae was way harder than I anticipated. The mailbox will be next.
Lastly, I want to get some opinions from you about what to do with a cross-stitch I started around 1989 when my oldest son was a baby and finished the year he graduated from high school. I thought it was really cute when I started it, but now it looks hopelessly old-fashioned and dated. I always planned to give it to him, but it might be more of a curse than a blessing at this point. And how do I finish it off? Help me, please!
Okay, that’s enough for today. See above above needing someone to fan me and feed me grapes… ha ha!
I’ll probably give this the Clive to put in the mail tomorrow, unless I delete it first.

That picture!! I love it. I do hope you got Kris to fan you and feed you grapes. Apple has been “on my back” about my Cloud being full for a long time. Guess it’s time to sort and move pictures to the computer, for me….Oh well. Clive is darling.
Those glasses…. ❤️. I think the needlework piece is beautiful. Frame it for a grandchild’s room.

Thanks for all the lovely feedback. I’m wondering if there’s a better way to use the cross stitch than framing it. It’s very large and awkwardly shaped. Next time you come over I’ll get it out and we can brainstorm. ❤️

Where some counted cross stitch now seems dated, yours however looks of a higher quality. I agree with Barbie to give it to a grandchild or perhaps it will be a real blessing to others in your family. Yes, Clive is adorable!

I wonder if in could use it in a crib sized quilt? It’s really big and would totally dominate a room if it were on a wall. Most moms these days have very set ideas about how they want to decorate the baby’s room.

I showed it to her when they were here so she’d know what was coming. Her reaction was somewhat inscrutable. 😄. But maybe she’ll have some ideas about how to use it, so I’ll ask her.
