To give you relief from my often wordy posts, I’ll just share photos of some things going on in my workshop. Words will be used to describe them, but I’ll try to keep it to a minimum.

This unattractive cardboard box is the current repository for all the Little Travelers. I think they deserve better, but haven’t come up with anything. Should I commission hubby to make a nice wooden box? Should I use the toy box from his childhood? (photo below). Buy a nice plastic see-through bin? I think you can tell from the look on Colonel Purslane’s face that he is pleading for better quarters.

This blog post will expire in 24 hours.
Well, well, well! A peek into Lynnie’s magical workshop! With Easter fast approaching, you’ll need to pull out all the stops to get your next “Little Traveler’s project finished (this is where it would be appropriate to say: “You need to get hopping!”). Actually, “Thistle” is a lovely name – yet what that word conjures up just doesn’t FEEL (another pun, BTW) right. I would humbly suggest “Willow”. Then (and, yes, I am going to say it) she would be “Willow that Wasckly Wabbit” (how does one spell “wasckly”?). Anyway, another suggestion in regard to the vintage toy box: paint it with simple portraits of your “Little Travelers” friends – a true heirloom! That all, folks, for today’s suggestions….

I always like your name suggestions. Willow is a wonderful name! Sold!! The toy box might not be available for repainting. I’ll have to check. 😊 also, who would paint it? Not me!

Thistle is good, but the Willow branches are waving gently in the wind. Even a wasckly wabbit likes to dance every once in a while! The box seems to be a perfect size, and the look of an heirloom….I bet somewhere in there, a story is lurking!

I’ll find out the origins of the toy box and see what’s there. I like the old painting on it so I wouldn’t be inclined to paint over it!

That sweet little bag. Would one of your jams or jellies fit inside as a gift?
Perhaps a little purse for Lucy. Does Lucy need hair bands or scrunchies? Perhaps they will fit inside.

I think the Little Travelers should be displayed. Such hard work went into creating them–I think they would love to see the world and the workings of the Nyhus house.

How would you display them? I like the idea!

On a shelf? Having a friendly gathering on a side table? Atop that toy box? Greeting people at your door on some table? Camping out in a guest room? Somewhere in your bedroom watching you sleep? Okay, now I’m getting carried away 🙂
