The poinsettia said, “I’m thirsty,”
But I was much too busy.
The poinsettia said, “I’m dry,”
But I just walked right by.
The poinsettia leaves were dropping
But I passed it without stopping.
The poinsettia leaves turned black
And I paid attention at last.

Don’t let this happen to your poinsettia.
I’ll probably delete this when the edges turn black.
poor, poor poinsettia !

must be the weather, my plants aren’t doing the best. They must feel like I do with the cold….kind of blue. 🥶 Yes this is amazing that all of a sudden I can send a comment. I didn’t do anything to change anything either. 😊

Computers are a marvel, but who can understand their ways?

Bless your heart for (eventually) caring! My sister-in-law has been known to carefully plant them in the ground in the Spring, then resurrect them in about August to give them the darkness they need in order to bloom red again for Christmas. Perhaps you have done the same. I have neither the space, nor the patience for that. I have decided not to purchase them anymore because of that. I do try to save several plants during the Winter months, so I’m not totally cruel to them.

I tried to save one of mine and keep it going until the next year once, but like you I realized I didn’t have the patience for it. Our neighbors give us a poinsettia every year for Christmas and I love the beauty they bring in the season. But by this time of year, I’m pretty much ready to bid them adieu. 😊😉.
